We chose these three elements: Silicon, Aluminum, Magnesium.

Silicon- Chemical- can be purified by being converted into a compound then back to a pure substance. Physical- metalic blue-ish black rock.
History-first identified by Antoine Lavoiser in 1787.
current uses- used i n microchips as semi conducters.
Other- it makes up 27.5% of the earths crust making it the mos-t abundant element after oxygen.

Aluminum-is a silvery white, Aluminium is the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust, it makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.
Use - Aluminium is remarkable for its ability to resist corrosion due to the phenomenon of passiviton and for the metal's low density.
Other - the common aluminium minerals are not economic sources of the metal.


Magnesium-its the 8th most abundant element in the earths crust in mass, althought 9th in teh Universe by whole.
History-The name originates from the greek word for a district in thessaly called magnesia. It is related to magnetite and manganese, which also originated from this area, and required differentiation as separate substances.
Use-Magnesium is the third most commonly used structural metal, following steel and aluminium.
